Only 150 models of the Lamborghini Miura SV have made it to Australia, due to the right hand drive modification, making it one of the rarest automobiles in the world. Globally, only 765 Miuras were built in Italy. The Australian modified Miura is to fetch upwards of USD 1,000,000.

Ferrari spA has opened a special Atelier boutique at their Maranello headquarters in Italy to help you bling out your new ride with gold exteriors and other luxury cutomizations such as cashmere interiors and compete with the likes of Maserati, Aston Martin and Rolls Royce.

Speaking of Rolls Royce, they are for the first time entering the South American market, more specifically Chile and Brazil. CEO Torsten Muller-Otvosexplaining explained both nations “…have seen impressive economic growth, with an increasing demand from discerning customers for pinnacle luxury products.” Bentley had opened its first showroom in Brazil in 2010.

And, in more luxury auto news Toyota’s Lexus has reclaimed the top spot according to US Consumer Reports latest reliability ranking while others haven’t faired so well: Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz (18th) and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG’s BMW (19th), Volkswagen AG’s Audi (26th), Porsche (27th) and Tata Motors-owned Jaguar ranked last.
