A rare 1938 Action Comics no.1 known for introducing the world to Superman was auctioned online for USD 2.16 million, a first for any comic.
The Superman comic was owned by American actor Nicholas Cage and “assigned a grade of 9.0 by Certified Guaranty Company” accoridng to Luxury Insider. There are reportedly 100 other issues somewhere in the world.
The original comic in 1938 was sold for 10 cents.
