UK-based Black Astrum’s signature cards are being touted as the world’s most expensive and exclusive business / social calling cards.
A single card that is individually designed and encrusted with diamonds costs about £1000 or $1547, and are available in boxes of 25, 50 and 100 cards.
The company has expressed that they have “had several enquiries from American celebrities and international businessmen, however our cards are offered by invitation only, reflecting our desire to serve only the most premier individuals”.
The card was “originally produced as a one-off commission for a wealthy Middle Eastern family” and is meant to exude “individuality, power and wealth.”
In other ‘self-expression’ social card news, another British firm Moo.com has created the first Facebook cards. A box of 50 with varying cover images will run £10 or $15 but if you are one of the first 200,000 people to make an order your first box is free — all you need is a Facebook Timeline.
