Elite says Noma, no moreElite Traveler, a magazine targeted towards private jet setting by Net Jets, published its ranking of the top 20 restaurants in the world.

The blog Luxuo points out, “The selection provides an interesting contrast to other international rankings like the… World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.”

This is best exemplified by René Redzepi’s Noma absence from the list, it has held the top spot for the past two years beating out elBulli on World’s 50 list.

Elite’s world’s best restaurant: Alinea. Why?: “hypermodern, emotional approach to dining.”

Novel approaches and techniques are praised as Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck gets second place for “pushing the boundaries of British gastronomy” and “reinventing traditional British classics.”
