Tweeting chefs change dining experience

According to the editors at Bon Appetit, Twitter is changing the relationship between diners and some of the world’s top chefs.

“Fans are tweeting to chefs directly, with some soliciting chef secrets for the best marinara sauce, some taking their beefs online for the Twittersphere to see, and others still hoping for a virtual shoutout and a mention on Twitter with their handle”, reports AFP- Relaxnews.

Chefs are often tweeting their specials and Rene Redzepi of Noma (World’s Best Restaurant 2010 and 2011) regularly posts Twitter-only specials for their regulars.

In October, another social media tracker Klout named the Travel Channel TV host Andrew Zimmern as the “most influential foodie and chef on Twitter” — the  runners-up included Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver.
